Surgery went well.  I have an appointment to get the stitches out in 2 weeks.  In the meantime, I am not allowed to lift anything over 20 pounds or go snowboarding.  Yeah, I’ll be moping around all weekend.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:  If you havent been out of the house in the past 5 years or only have change on you, DO NOT use the self check out lanes in stores.  They are a convenience for people who want to get out of the store faster than it would take a cashier to ring them up.  And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES take up more than one lane because you are there with your mother who is also paying in change.  There is no reason I should have to hold 20 pounds worth of cookie ingredients for 10 minutes while you putz around and let your son put quarters in the machine like the cash register conveyor belt is a Disneyworld ride.  I might never go back to Walmart again.
