Excellent

April 12, 2007

Ive got quite an awesome schedule ahead of me.  I have social psychology and world cultures from 8 to 10 on mondays, wednesdays and fridays.  I then have enterprise projects from 10 to 2 on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays and from 8 to 12 on tuesdays and thursdays.   Our project for enterprise projects is for Fidelity and is pretty cool.  Seeing as how its thursday today, I may try to go up to the mountain to snowboard for a few hours.  Im glad I worked so hard in past quarters.  Now my last quarter will be excellent.

I’ll be here awhile

March 2, 2007

I woke up this morning and looked outside to see its snowing.  Excellent.  I had an easy time driving on snowy roads because of the jeep’s 4WDH.  Before running out of the apartment today I grabbed my camera.  Maybe I’ll snap up a few photos throughout the afternoon.  It is now 8:20 and my professor isn’t here yet.  Hmm I want coffee.  I wonder if I can bare the cold for it.  Off to the other side of the internets I go.  Be back later…

Burning For Mountain Rams

February 24, 2007

I was driving to Snowbird this morning when Burnin’ For You by Blue Oyster Cult came on, on my Ipod.  The opening lyrics go:

Home in the valley Home in the city Home isnt pretty Aint no home for me

Home in the darkness Home on the highway Home isnt my way Home Ill never be

There hasn’t ever been any lyrics closer to how I feel than that song.  So I’m driving up the canyon to Snowbird, and I thought “these mountains are really lacking some mountain rams.  I mean, what is a mountain without some goats?  I think our president needs to shift his focus to reintroducing wild mountain rams into mountain states.

Root Canal Part II

February 13, 2007

Yesterday, I had the 2nd part of my root canal done, and still have one more part to go.  Today the pain was pretty bad so I called the dentist to get painkillers.  I am typing this as my sight becomes dimmer from drowsiness.  I picked up the key to my new apartment today and checked it out during lunch.  It is pretty cool.  It has one less couch than my current place but seems larger altogether.  As of right now, all I can move are light things until my stitches come out next monday or tuesday.  I think it’s time for a nap…

Hey You!

January 22, 2007

I have been quite busy lately.  As you can see, I redid the design of my site.  It needed a little sprucing up.  I still need to update my resume and portfolio pages.  I would also like to change some of the fonts I use and the styling of my blog.  I have a big paper I am currently working on due in a few days.  I also have to take my final certification test soon.  Busy bee is the life for me.  Maybe that’s why I’m always tired…

The Weekend

January 16, 2007

PJ and I went snowboarding everyday of the three day weekend.  Conditions were very cold, but sunny.  We got about 3 to 4 hours in each day.  Yesterday I shouldn’t have gotten out of bed.  We went up the lift and after I got off, I went to strap my back foot in.  But, I noticed my strap was missing.  The lift operator then down-loaded me down the lift.  I walked back to the car and by a complete stroke of luck, found my strap.  It was right at the edge of the parking lot.  I took the strap and my board to the main lodge where a specialist gave me a new screw and tightened everything up.

PJ still has yet to figure out that when I snowboard, I listen to my Ipod.  I have told him many times that I listen to it.  Often he will talk to me but I wont be able to hear him.  We hit more rocks this weekend than I have all last season.  I really need to get my board waxed now.

Back in Class

January 11, 2007

I am back in class.  It’s our second day back and it started to snow a few hours ago.  I cant wait to go snowboarding this weekend.  We have a 3 day weekend!  I think when I get home tonight, I am going to set up my webcam on my desktop and stream live images from out of my bedroom window and onto my site.  This way everyone can see the weather here.

Happy Holidays

January 4, 2007

Christmas was excellent.  I was delighted when I opened up a brand new Nintendo Wii on Christmas Morning.  My mother stayed overnight on December 5th at a Walmart and bought 2 of them and 3 controllers.  It has been nonstop fun.  It’s kinda weird to see my parents playing video games.  But they love it.  We have been having so much fun playing multiplayer minigames.  A new target market of gamers is one reason the Wii will prevail over the PS3 and the Xbox360.

New Years was incredible.  One of my friends rented out a bar.  He invited about 100 people to come and celebrate.  It was good to see some people that I haven’t seen in two years.   Well, it’s 3PM, I just woke up, and I’m starving.  Later alligator…

The Current State of Affairs

December 19, 2006

I had an excellent birthday.  I would like to thank everyone for making it awesome.  My stitches come out within a few days.  It’s kind of weird watching my skin grow over my stitches.

I have been studying nonstop for the past couple of days.  I have my 70-300 certification test tomorrow at noon.  It is my 4th cert on my 5 cert path to MCSD.  I decided I needed a healthy break from studying and went to my old middle school to visit a teacher my brother has that I used to have.

When I went to the front office to sign in as a visitor, the lady at the front desk told me they do not allow visitors anymore.  Probably still scared over amish people shooting school children.  It’s a shame because my little brother told my old teacher I would come visit.  And I went.  Teachers: If you ever want to see what has become of your students, besides what you see in the newspapers, change stupid rules such as these.  That’s the current state of affairs.
